Shoreline Athletics CrossFit Open 2018: Week 2 Review

This week, brought us not one, but TWO workouts and caused some major shifts on the international CrossFit Leaderboard, but did it do the same at Shoreline Athletics?? Did the cardiovascular elite who proved themselves in 18.1 stand out after a test of strength under fatigue? Let's see:

A special shout out to LINDA WITALIS and  JOHN BOUGHTON who stepped out of their comfort zones and signed up for the Open and are KILLING IT!  They are the leaders in the 60+ category; they are also the only ones in this category...wait...60+ and still CrossFitting??  That IS winning!

The Shoreline Sixpacks are 151st in the Northeast and 1697 in the WORLD. This week's contributors were: Wayne Mac, Kyle McCauley, Jenna Lennon, Sarah Lipp, and Ryan Hocking.

 

Athletes with potential to advance:

 

Jimmy Connelly (Men's 55-59): Jim is currently SEVENTH in the Northeast and 52nd in the world. He needs to remain top 200 in the world to move on to the the Master's Qualifier.

 

Lauren Plumey (Women's 35-39): LP is currently ELEVENTH in the Northeast, and 96th in the world. She needs to stay in the top 200 in the world to advance to the Master's Qualifier.

 

Megin Oczkowski (Individual female-Northeast Region): Megin is currently in 45th in the Northeast. She must move up 20 spots to qualify for the East Regional in May.

 

We'll see y'all Thursday night at 7:45 for the 18.3 announcement. Shoreline Prime will be there slingin' up some delicious meats and veggies. Studs, Will "The Thrill" Brown, Matt "Babyface" Stebbins, and Frank "The Italian Stallion" Vigliotti will be going head-to-head immediately following the announcement.
